We are two couples who are neighbours, living in the beautiful Far North region and fortunate to reside looking out to spectacular views of the Mangonui harbour and seaside township.
Our friendship & partnership stems from our love of our community, entertaining and hospitality.
Between us as business partners, we collectively make up a vibrant and diverse, skilled and experienced team. We are passionate about offering to local and visiting customers, an opportunity to enjoy all that the Mangonui Wine & Whiskey Bar has to offer.
Our mission is to stimulate our customers senses, enlighten minds, satisfy appetites and serve.
Wine is about learning and sharing and we want to be a part of this.
Mangonui Wine and Whiskey Bar will have an organic, biodynamic and natural focus, along with supporting smaller, family run vineyards that produce quality wines.
We want our customers to experience a rolling wine list from local and around the world, including lesser known producers and regions.
We anticipate our patronage will have an interest in learning about wine making, tasting, spirit distilling processes, origins, and food pairings.
We plan to have regular knowledgeable sommeliers and distillers to visit, providing an education and experience.
Our local food suppliers will feature strongly in our various food pairing platters and small plate menu.
